Posner Advertising Wins Marketing For 90 West Street, Restored Landmark in Lower Manhattan
1907 Cass Gilbert Design Will Be Offered As 410 Residential Apartments
New York, NY (April 1, 2005) - Posner Advertising, experts in real estate marketing, announced the assignment of all marketing and advertising for lower Manhattan's 90 West Street, a 1907 skyscraper being converted into 410 state-of-the-art apartments.
Posner is working with owners Kibel Companies, Brack Capital Real Estate, BD Hotels and exclusive leasing agent CitiHabitats Marketing Properties for the January, 2005 launch of an integrated print and online advertising campaign, which will also include branding, signage, sales office design, website development, brochures and collateral materials. 90 West received landmark status in 1998 and has been restored at a cost of $150 million.
"The extraordinary architecture of 90 West Street creates a residential environment of unique character and timeless elegance," said agency principal Bob Posner. "It will again, this time as a residential building. There has been an unprecedented amount of care lavished on its restoration. We are very proud to have this opportunity, and will strive to echo the owner's creativity, care and innovation in the marketing of 90 West Street."
Built in 1905-07, 90 West Street was conceived as a first-class skyscraper office building for the shipping and railroad industries by architect Cass Gilbert, who later designed the Woolworth Building. When it comes to market in spring 2005, 90 West Street will be 1907 on the outside and 2005 inside. Inside the 23-story building, the foyer's restored Gothic-arched ceiling and carved-stone pillars will welcome tenants, who will have access to a garden courtyard, gym, recreation room, and modern amenities that include state-of-the-art HVAC systems, high-speed Internet access, and a large underground garage.
With its carved limestone adornments and the faces of lions, eagles, American Indian chiefs, and other symbolic Americana, Gilbert's extraordinary design will once again be visible. 90 West Street was ahead of its time in many ways, including handcrafted, interlocking terra-cotta bricks between floors and marble-and-steel stairwells - both fireproofing measures which withstood the attacks of September 11, 2001.
In addition to 90 West Street, Posner Advertising has just been awarded the marketing for 823 Park Avenue, the most important new condominium on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Under development by PMG (Property Management Group), the building features 12 full floor residences, each over 4,000 sq. ft. According to agent Daniella Kunen of Prudential Douglas Elliman, estimated opening prices could range from $12 million to $29 million. These latest rounds of account wins are based on Posner's track record of creative innovation it has provided for such clients as AvalonBay Communities, The Trump Organization, Brown Harris Stevens and The Related Companies.
