Challenge:

The utility needed to introduce its services as a provider of fiber optic cable services to telecommunications professionals, both nationally and in the New York metropolitan area. While these fiber optic capabilities weren't known by the target audience, the client was ready to offer timely and effective resource to respond to network security issues.

Change Reaction:

Posner Advertising created a unique, informative flash/HTML email that positioned Con Edison Communications as a "hero" to telecommunications professionals, who needed information and solutions to their network security issues. To demonstrate that this audience had a reliable source for next-generation fiber, we developed print advertisements using the tagline "Get Your Communications Network on Sound Footing." One of our direct mail designs resembled an electrical grid map, reinforcing the corporate identity of Con Edison. Finally, the client developed a seminar on network security, which we successfully promoted with a series of creative banner ads.
